The 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris have brought us so much already: close calls, triumphant wins, and overall razor-sharp athleticism. While we came for the sports, the dazzling beauty looks are also a big part of the reason we here at Allure keep tuning in day after day.
Returning champs like Simone Biles and Sha'Carri Richardson delivered yet another round of eye-catching makeup and nail moments, while budding household names Suni Lee and Jordan Chiles won our hearts by putting their spin on patriotic hair accessories and eyeshadow looks. Though we’re a little biased, we’re not only looking at Team USA—athletes from Brazil, France, and Togo have also caught our eyes with vibrant nail art and colorful hair.
Ahead, discover the beauty looks from the 2024 Summer Olympic Games (so far) that we think deserve gold medals of their own.
Simone Biles’s Fenty Moment
Just when we thought we couldn’t love America’s gymnastics darling anymore, Simone Biles revealed that she’s a Fenty Beauty girlie when she used the brand’s setting powder for touch-ups off the mat. The gold medalist’s makeup look, complete with brown NYX lip liner, perfectly arched brows, black winged eyeliner, and a glowing complexion, is a winner all on its own.
Suni Lee’s Braided Bun
Suni Lee’s sleek bun with braided detailing is one of our favorite hair looks from the games this year. Gymnasts are required to wear their hair pulled back but Lee didn’t let that rule stop her from pulling out an eye-catching look. Who says buns have to be boring? For a style like this, we love the Got2B Styling Glue (which Suni Lee herself loves). It slicks down hair and doesn't budge throughout the day.
If you can't peel your eyes away from Lee's glossy lips either, we get it. The gymnast shared on her TikTok that she lines her lips with the Make Up For Ever Artist Color Pencil in Wherever Walnut before swiping on the Ole Henriksen Pout Preserve Lip Treatment.
Jordan Chiles’s White Graphic Eyeliner
We love everything about Jordan Chiles’s winning look, which makes it hard to pick a favorite part: The white graphic eyeliner, patriotic hair bow, darkly-lined lips, and the red, white, and blue croc-print nails make for a beauty moment that’s a 10 out of 10 in our book. To recreate this look we love the 24/7 Waterproof eyeliner pencil and Milani Stay Put Tank Liquid Eyeliner. Both have a thin tip to create sharp designs and they'll last through the most rigorous floor routine.
Rebeca Andrade’s Honey-Blonde Braids
Brazilian gymnast Rebeca Andrade’s graphic black eyeliner, glossy nude lips, and honey-blonde box braids all came together for a sultry, show-stopping look. While we're not sure which products Andrade used to achieve this eye look, we'd reach for the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner and the Half Magic Bold Metallic Face Pearls if we were recreating this look.
Sha'Carri Richardson’s Stiletto Nails
We’re still not over track star Sha'Carri Richardson’s long stiletto nails at the Opening Ceremony. Richardson took patriotic nail art to a whole new level with a different red, white, and blue design on each nail. Richardson pulled out another glamorous manicure for the Women's 100 Meter Race, moving away from the patriotic color theme this time but keeping the same 3D shine and sparkle.
Akoko Komlanvi’s Colorful Braids and Nails
Togolese rower Akoko Komlanvi came to represent her country in style with beautiful box braids and graphic nails in the red, green, and yellow found on the African nation’s flag.
Trinity Rodman's Pink Braids
Soccer player Trinity Rodman's pink ombré box braids just made us add the style to our list of favorite braid looks.
Miwa Harimoto's Gold Hair Clips
While Japanese table tennis player Miwa Harimoto's eyes were on the ball, our eyes were on her dainty gold hair clips. We love a cute-yet-functional hair accessory, like these gold, crystal and pearl bobby pins from Anthropologie.
Noah Lyles' Pearl Cornrows and Patriotic Manicure
Noah Lyles ran the Men's 100m Semi-Final dripped out in pearl-adorned cornrows and mismatched patriotic nails. To get your own red, white, and blue mani like Lyles', reach for the Festive Flag nail polish set from Olive & June and paint on your designs using nail art liner brushes. Add a 3D element with these pearl craft beads.
Shamier Little's Pink Buzzcut
We can't get enough of Shamier Little's aura buzzcut. The cute crop is bright pink in the middle and feathers out to a platinum blonde around the perimeter.
Melissa Jefferson's Matching Bow and Nails
We're beaming at Melissa Jefferson's bright blue bow (fixed perfectly atop her locs) and matching blue manicure that's subtle yet eye catching. We're not sure which bow Jefferson used but this Belle Bow from Hill House is just as cute.
Keely Hodgkinson
British runner Keely Hodgkinson's victory in the Women's 800 Meter race was made even better by her purple and white manicure—artfully painted by editorial nail artist Sylvie Macmillan. The manicure, which Macmillan said was done in collaboration with Nike, featured subtle 3D art of an angel wing and an ancient goddess on the two middle nails. “Goddess of victory nails for a victorious goddess,” Macmillan wrote in an Instagram caption.
Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone's Tiara
Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone celebrated her record breaking win in the 400-meter hurdles with a glitzy tiara placed perfectly over her middle-part slick back bun. You, too, could channel Olympic-level energy with this sparkly silver Jennifer Behr option.
